The beautiful and popular city Sharm El-Sheikh received a new Airport Terminal with extraordinary architecture.
In addition to the high popularity among tourists, international peace conferences take place in Sharm El-Sheikh and the Egyptian president partly resides there.
The new airport project needed to meet and exceed international standards and acts as a reference project for future terminals in Egypt.
The high expectations for speech intelligibility and clarity for the public address system could only be met with DSP-controlled loudspeaker arrays (Bosch Intellivox).
was subcontracted by Bosch Security Systems / CSI Egypt to design the system; it now consists of a total of 41 active DSP-Arrays and several hundred passive loudspeakers.
The system was also commissioned, programmed and measured by Jakob Kraft in June 2007; for the central "boat" area, the room-acoustic design was done in 2006.
The system is now fully in operation and demonstrates well the capacities of a DSP-controlled system with high intelligibility, excellent coverage pattern and extensive surveillance functions.
