The Luerssen Shipyard is internationally known for premium private yachts of any size.
The Shipyard contacted for a larger project to assess and optimize several critical rooms on the (not yet existing) vessel.

All rooms were modelled in great detail with CATT-Acoustic. The common room-acoustical paramteres were predicted. Based on the owner's requirements, target parameters were agreed on and the rooms were acoustically optimized in cooperation with the interior designers.
Besides the prediction of numerical parameters, auralizations were computed to allow the owner subjective listening inside the virtual ship (auralizations are usually presented via headphones while looking at a 3D-model of the room).

In close cooperation with  Akustikbuero Oldenburg, the necessary absorption materials were specially designed and predicted for the project to meet the room-acoustical target parameters while at the same time maintaining the celint's design and thus the appearance of the surface materials.
