Duran AudioServices: Design, predictions, commissioning of sound system
The Hamburg Airport was recently connected to the local train system "S-Bahn".
The end user Deutsche Bahn required a high quality system for this new station which is well exposed to international travellers; also to serve as reference for future projects.
Duran Audio Germany asked Rahe-Kraft to design a system to meet the Bahn's and architects requirements.
The final concept is a system with consecutively delayed systems along the platform. In conjuction with the excellent room-acoustic design, the system delivers superior speech intelligibility and an extremely uniform coverage.
The system was professionally installed by
Hampe Netzwerke and finally commissioned and optimized in October 2008 by Jakob Kraft.The total system consists of:
10 x Duran Audio V90 2 x Duran Audio H90 2 x Duran Audio DC280 4 x Duran Audio DS180 2 x Duran Audio DC180 7 x Duran Audio DC115and some additional ceiling speakers.
