The German Historical Museum and its beautiful Schlueterhof were remodelled in 2003. The Schlueterhof which was formerly open to above was covered with a glass roof.
Though it was not planned for, the Schlueterhof quickly became very popular for various types of events. This was only possible after some room-acoustic improvements.
Even though, sufficient speech intelligibility could not be achieved with conventional loudspeaker systems.
was employed by Black Box Music (a local rental company) to design, predict, measure and tune the loudspeaker system for the first speech events in the new location.
Various DSP-controlled line-arrays were used: Duran Audio Intellivox 2b, 2c, 4c sowie 1608 and EAW DSA.
