Bombardier Transportation manufactures one of the commonly used passenger carriages, a double-story carriage for short and medium distances.



Rahe-Kraft was appointed to carry out speech intelligibility measurements as a basis for future improvements to the public address system in the train.

One of the technically challenging details of such measurements is to take into account not only the noise in the passenger compartments but also the noise which is transmitted from the driver's compartment via the loudspeaker system during the announcements.

The results of our measurements will used to asses the current system and suggest possible improvements for the future.
