The Linz Train Station was remodelled in as part of a large Program of the Austrian Train Services OeBB.

The building was finished in 2004; as many modern buildings, most surface materials are glass, marble and metal, causing long reverberation times. The acoustical conditions required the use of DSP-controlled line-arrays; Bosch Intellivox series (1b and 2b) loudspeakers were used for the station.

was ordered by the Austrian Bosch-dealer PKE Electronics AG Linz for the commissioning, programming, measurement and tuning of the system.

Since then, the system is running without any problems and proves daily that DSP-controlled line-arrays are capable of delivering high intelligibility in acoustically difficult environments.
